The storm rolls in out of nowhere, the way storms do in the summer in the South, and by the time Chris and Jensen stumble, laughing and half-drunk, onto Chris' veranda, they're both soaked to the bone and half covered in mud and grass stains from when Jensen had tackled Chris halfway across the lawn for a sloppy, full-bodied kiss. Jensen shakes his head like a dog, water spraying everywhere, eyes bright with mischief, and Chris thinks that dragging Jensen out of town for a few days was the best damn idea he's had in a long time.
